School Uniform

At Kippax Ash Tree Primary School, we are very proud to have our own school colours; Red and Navy Blue.

Uniform and book bags with the school logo are available from the SPT Uniform shop towards the top of Main Street in Garforth. We also have various sizes of 'new to you' uniform that is available from school. For more information please speak to the school office.

Children require the following uniform:

  • A navy blue or red jumper, sweatshirt or cardigan with the school logo or plain
  • A white shirt or polo t-shirt with the school logo or plain
  • black or navy trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore
  • Navy blue hoodie with school badge – optional
  • A blue and white checked dress (summer)
  • Coats and bags can be any colour or design suitable for primary aged children
  • Black shoes, boots or plain black trainers:
    Shoes should be flat and appropriate for school. Your child should wear shoes that they can do up independently and which do not prevent them from running in the playground. For health and safety reasons, sandals and heeled shoes or boots are not appropriate for school.

EYFS (Nursery and Reception)

We allow black or navy jogging bottoms to support with toileting and independence.

The PE Kit consists of:

All children at KATPS will take part in PE every week and these will be either indoor or outdoor sessions. All children must and wear:

  • Navy blue plain shorts or joggers
  • A navy blue sweatshirt or hoodie
  • Plain white, navy blue or red t-shirt
  • Plain black trainers
  • Pupils that attend swimming will need a swimming costume/swimming trunks/shorts and a towel
  • Foundation Stage children also need wellington boots and waterproof clothing. We have some available to loan in school at all times

Jewellery

Children with pierced ears should wear only one pair of stud earrings. Earrings need to be removed for PE or taped over. Necklaces and bracelets should be worn only if they are of religious significance; however, they must be removed for PE for Health and Safety reasons.

The wearing of any type of jewellery can be dangerous for your child as it may catch on apparatus or school equipment. Your co-operation in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
